Dr. Dana Ihsan is a distinguished Swedish Board-certified Consultant Psychiatrist with a distinguished career spanning over 15 years. Graduating with honors from Umeå University in 2009, Dr. Ihsan embarked on a rigorous path to clinical excellence. Following his medical internship at the University Hospital of Umeå and subsequent licensure, he dedicated himself to mastering the complexities of adult psychiatry through a comprehensive residency program at the same institution. To complement his medical expertise, Dr. Ihsan also pursued psychotherapy qualifications at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, broadening his  his skills in comprehensive patient care.

In 2020, Dr. Ihsan achieved the highest level of professional recognition by obtaining Board certification in general psychiatry from the Swedish Board of Health and Welfare. His subsequent roles as a Senior Consultant psychiatrist in inpatient and emergency settings, as well as his leadership position at the Neuropsychiatry outpatient unit, underscore his ability to manage a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions. Dr. Ihsan’s exceptional clinical acumen is further evidenced by his appointment as the most responsible psychiatrist overseeing multiple specialized units at the University Hospital of Umeå, including those dedicated to affective disorders, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
